Signing in lets you claim your product page, ask visitors for something specific, and read their private notes in your founder dashboard. We read your public profile and nothing else — no repositories, no contacts, no posting on your behalf.
GitHub restores access to a previously verified account. For a new claim, we check website ownership or review your evidence; an imported username alone isn’t enough.
Google signs you in. To claim a listing, you’ll also verify its website or wait for an ownership review. A matching email domain alone does not grant access.
